How rank works
Rank is the amount you have paid toward that listing, in US dollars. Higher amount sits higher. Ties go to the older listing, the one that landed first keeps the slot.
Minimum bid is $2. Every bid after that moves in $1 steps. You cannot bid $2.50.
The live claim
The headline is live. It shows the rank your typed amount would buy right now. The default amount is current #1 plus $1, which is the cheapest way to take the top slot, unless a takeover is locking page 1.
Same URL, same handle
A listing is keyed to a normalized URL or @handle. Query strings are stripped (Play Store app IDs are kept). App Store, Play, and GitHub listings are keyed by path, so two apps on the same store are two listings.
If that URL or handle is already on the board, a new bid only charges the difference. To take #1 you still have to beat the current #1 by at least $1.
Claim a specific rank
Each row has a claim price: that listing's amount plus $1. That is the cheapest bid that sits above that row, all else equal.
Takeover
Paying 2脳 the current #1 amount buys a 3-hour lock on the first page. Your listing is pinned at #1 for those three hours. Only one takeover can run at a time. Regular bids still land; they cannot pass the pin until the lock expires.
When you actually rank
Paying stays on bidrank.lol. Rank is written only after Stripe sends checkout.session.completed. If someone else clears payment first, they get the slot their amount buys. You still get listed. That is not a refund.
Payment
A completed payment claims the rank. If a higher bid lands first, you still get listed at the rank this amount buys. That is not a refund. Email support@bidrank.lol before opening a dispute. Payment and chargeback terms live on the Terms page.
What gets blocked
URL shorteners. Chat and invite links (Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, Messenger, Signal). Adult destinations. Localhost. If we refuse a target, pick the canonical public page.
Clicks
Titles, descriptions, and favicons are scraped from the page. Clicks leave through BidRank and pick up ?utm_source=bidrank so you can see the referral in analytics.
Visitors
A cookie counts unique browsers. The pill shows who is online right now (last five minutes) and who was around in the last hour. It is not an account.
The rest
50 listings per page. Refresh pulls the latest board. #1 is highlighted. Built by @bilbop1.
